Tecnologia SEC entrega arquivamento secreto em caso Binance ⋆ ZyCrypto 10 minutos atrás Notícias do Bitcoin Ethereum Late Monday, the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) made a rather unusual move by filing a sealed motion. A sealed motion is a formal request made by one of the parties involved (like the prosecution or the defense) to the judge. This request contains information or materials that the party believes are sensitive, confidential, or shouldnt be made public for various reasons. The suit alleged that CZ, Binance, and Binance.US offered and sold unregistered securities when they made the BNB token as well as the stablecoin BUSD. Binances stablecoin has since lost most of its market share and relevance in the stablecoin market. Former SEC Chief of Internet Enforcement, John Reed Stark, called the filing a rare move for a civil agency because filings of such agencies are usually freely accessible and readable by anyone. Reed said: “After all, it‘s in the public interest to know and understand the SEC’s use of U.S. tax dollars, and the U.S. SEC wants its messages heard loud and clear to deter future

O advogado da Ripple chama o último pedido da SEC de “pivô hipócrita”

Tecnologia O advogado da Ripple chama o último pedido da SEC de “pivô hipócrita” 9 minutos atrás Notícias do Bitcoin Ethereum Stuart Alderoty, Ripple‘s chief legal officer and general counsel in the SEC vs. Ripple Labs case, has characterized the United States Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) latest submission as a “contradictory shift” and contends that it holds little sway. Following a recent filing by the SEC to reinforce its interlocutory appeal, Alderoty publicado on X (formerly Twitter) referring to the submission as another instance of a “hypocritical pivot.” Alderoty highlighted what he sees as SEC Chair Gary Genslers inconsistency, manipulative actions and appetite for expanded regulation. He highlighted that Gensler had requested an urgent appeal despite asserting that crypto regulations and rules were clear and must be adhered to by the industry. “Another SEC filing, another hypocritical pivot… After years of its chairman saying the ‘rules are clear and must be obeyed,’ the SEC now cries that an appeal is urgently needed to resolve these knotty legal problems.” Another lawyer, James Filan, took a dig at the SEC, ridiculing its newfound concern for preserving judicial resources. He pointed out the SECs previous attempt to pause all proceedings in the case. Advogado pró-XRP John Deaton dito that those not

Novo quadro legislativo propõe regulamentação mais rigorosa sobre IA nos EUA

A bipartisan legislative initiative by Senators Richard Blumenthal and Josh Hawley has set forth a comprehensive plan to reconfigure the landscape of AI regulation in the United States. If adopted into law, this proposal will establish a dedicated governmental body responsible for the meticulous supervision of artificial intelligence technologies, with a specific emphasis on language models such as GPT-4. This sweeping framework outlines stringent prerequisites for AI development, prioritizing transparency, legal accountability, and environmental considerations. At the core of this legislative proposal lies the inception of a novel regulatory authority entrusted with the task of overseeing the entire spectrum of AI development and deployment. This regulatory entity would wield the authority to grant licenses to corporations seeking to create high-risk AI applications—encompassing areas like facial recognition systems and advanced language models like GPT-4. Elevated licensing criteria Companies aspiring to participate in high-risk AI development would encounter exacting criteria they must fulfill before obtaining licenses. These criteria include the imposition of thorough assessments of AI models to gauge potential harm before deployment. Moreover, firms must mandatorily disclose any post-launch issues and facilitate third-party audits to verify safety and ethical standards compliance. Transparency takes center stage within this legislative framework. Firms would be obligated to provide
