OpenAI Updated Its ChatGPT Chrome Extension: Here is How to Turn On the 3 New Features

I‘ve had ChatGPT open in one tab and the six tabs I actually needed information from open right next to it for years now, copying and pasting between them like it’s still 2023. OpenAIs latest Chrome extension update, announced through its official @ChatGPT account, is aimed squarely at killing that habit. Three distinct upgrades shipped together, and each one deserves its own explanation rather than getting lumped into a single “extension got better” headline. Three distinct upgrades shipped together, and each one deserves its own explanation rather than getting lumped into a single “extension got better” headline. 1. Tab-Aware Context The core of the update is that ChatGPT‘s side panel can now pull in context from your open tabs when a task needs it, rather than limiting itself to whatever single page you’re currently viewing. According to OpenAIs own developer documentation, chats you start in Chrome sync with the ChatGPT app, and the panel itself stays anchored to the tab you opened it from — so you can move through a research session across several tabs and ask questions that draw on more than one page at once. Stablecoin remittances hit 9% in Bank of Italy test

Banca dItalia has released a July 2026 study finding that stablecoin remittances do not consistently beat traditional transfer services on cost or speed. Researchers executed real transfers of 200 USDC across ten corridors linking Italy with Argentina, Brazil, South Africa, the United Arab Emirates and Japan. The mystery-shopping study recorded total costs from 0.30% to almost 9%. The blockchain leg averaged only 0.4%, while exchange purchases, funding methods, withdrawals and foreign-exchange conversion produced most of the expense. The authors said stablecoins showed “no systematic cost advantage” over traditional channels. Stablecoin remittance costs varied sharply by corridor The Italy-to-Argentina transfer was the cheapest at 0.30%, while Argentina-to-Italy cost 8.96%. The study warned that the low outbound Argentina result partly reflected differences between the countrys official and market exchange rates, rather than blockchain efficiency alone. Brazil-to-Italy cost 2.21%, compared with 2.70% in the opposite direction. South Africa-to-Italy cost 5.44%, while Italy-to-South Africa reached 4.58%. The two UAE routes were among the most expensive at 7.20% and 8.95%, partly because card funding and withdrawal charges increased the total. USDC beat Wise in only three comparable routes Banca dItalia compared its transactions with Wise simulations for the same $200 amount. USDC was cheaper in three routes: Italy to Argentina, Italy to

US Is Banning Foreign Robots—Even Roombas

In briefThe FCC added foreign-made advanced robots and connected power inverters to its banned list. The agencys definition of “advanced robotic devices” is so broad it covers vacuum cleaners like Roombas and other common devices. The restrictions apply only to new models seeking FCC approval. Existing products already approved or purchased are not affected. The U.S. government earlier this week announced an import ban on “advanced robotic devices” from foreign countries, with its sights set specifically on China. But its not just humanoids the government wants to stop from entering the United States—the ban extends to robot vacuum cleaners like Roombas too. The Federal Communications Commission has added foreign-made advanced robotic devices, including humanoid and quadruped robots, and connected power inverters to its Covered List after U.S. national security agencies determined the products pose unacceptable security risks. In a press release on Tuesday, the FCC said the move follows findings by a White House-convened interagency group that concluded the products could create supply chain weaknesses and cybersecurity risks affecting critical infrastructure and public safety. “I welcome these Executive Branch national security determinations, and I am pleased that the FCC has now added foreign-produced advanced robotics and power inverters to the FCC‘s Covered List,” FCC Chairman Brendan

High Fed Rates Trigger Crisis Fears: Is the Global Economy Breaking Down? Will Crypto Crash Again?

At 2:00 a.m. Beijing time on July 30, the Federal Reserves interest rate decision was announced: the Fed kept rates unchanged at 3.50%–3.75%, marking the fifth consecutive meeting this year in which it has held rates steady. Starting from July 2023, when the Federal Reserve completed 11 rate hikes and raised interest rates from near-zero levels to 5.25%–5.50%, the Fed has maintained a high-rate environment for 36 months. Historically, during the previous tightening cycle (2004–2006), the Feds peak interest rate level lasted only around 24 months before the 2008 financial crisis erupted. Todays interest rate curve shows striking similarities to the period before the 2008 crisis, as illustrated in the chart below: Federal Reserve Interest Rates Since the 21st Century (Source: Macromicro) Among the 15 major financial crises over the past century, 12 occurred within one year after the Federal Reserve entered a rate-hiking cycle. The current high-interest-rate environment has already lasted 36 months, far exceeding the historical 18-month critical cycle, meaning delayed impacts have been accumulating for a long time. Now, as the “canary in the coal mine” of global financial markets, South Koreas stock market has triggered full-market circuit breakers nine times this year. In July alone, it plunged approximately 33%, marking the

It has become the fastest movie to reach 1 million views on Letterboxd and is Nolan’s biggest global opening ever, pulling in $264.1 million during its first weekend. Yet for many people, ‘The Odyssey’ was originally homework rather than a beloved tale. Nolan presented a nearly 2,700 year-old story and changed how audiences experienced it. Here‘s what ’The Odyssey can teach leaders about successful storytelling. Great Storytelling Carries Humanity And Empathy Homer‘s ’The Odyssey‘ is an ancient Greek epic poem detailing the ten-year journey of King Odysseus of Ithaca attempting to return home after the Trojan War. Originally an oral reading, the written style creates a steady, rhythmic flow best suited for memorization, but not known for immediately capturing a modern book reader’s attention. In Nolan‘s rendition, humanity and empathy is brought center stage to the story, instantly capturing and holding the audience’s interest. Odysseus‘ “long-suffering wife Penelope” from the original source material becomes an experience. Movie viewers witness Anne
