Alephium Bridge Hacked for $815,000 in 7 Minutes as Compromised Guardian Keys Enable Forged Token Transfers

The token is down approximately 1.3% over the past 24 hours, a measured response from the market given the circumstances, though one that partly reflects the contained nature of the exploit. The attack targets the bridge specifically, not the underlying Alephium chain, which continues to operate without disruption. The more lasting damage sits in the 13.76 million wrapped ALPH now circulating without collateral backing. Those tokens represent a liability that cannot simply be wished away. Any future bridge restart will need to account for that uncollateralized supply and the questions it raises about redemption, burn mechanisms, and user trust in wrapped assets on the Ethereum side. The bridge is down and the attacker has not moved the funds. Whether that pause is strategic or simply the beginning of a longer laundering process remains to be seen. What the Alephium team needs to do now is straightforward, even if it is not easy: publish a full technical post-mortem, clarify the discrepancy between its early event-emission characterization and the key compromise evidence, and lay out a concrete plan for how the bridge gets rebuilt, with a guardian set large enough to actually provide security. A four-guardian bridge with a three-of-four signing threshold is not a

DOT Price Prediction: $1.35 Target Within 14 Days as Smart Money Accumulates

DOTs Technical Reality Check The charts are painting a picture of exhausted selling pressure reaching a critical inflection point. With DOT hovering at $1.22 and the RSI sitting in neutral territory at 42.38, were seeing classic oversold bounce conditions developing. The MACD histogram flatlined at zero signals that bearish momentum has completely stalled out, while the Bollinger Band position of 0.19 puts price perilously close to the lower band support at $1.18. This technical setup screams capitulation washout. When you see price hugging the lower Bollinger Band with momentum indicators going sideways rather than diving deeper, smart money typically starts positioning for the reversal. The fact that Blockchain.news has been tracking similar setups across the altcoin space suggests this isnt isolated DOT weakness but broader market fatigue. Volume & Price Alignment The derivatives data tells the real story here. DOT‘s funding rate sits neutral at 0.0046%, which means there’s no excessive speculation driving price action in either direction. More telling is the stark divergence between retail and institutional positioning – while retail traders maintain a 65% long bias, the top traders (smart money) have pushed their long exposure to nearly 69%. IPO Genie Opens A New Path To Pre IPO Opportunities For Retail Buyers

Pre-IPO deals have always had a cover charge most retail investors cannot afford. The standard entry sits at $250,000 or more. Capital locks for years. And the list of who gets in is rarely public. IPO Genie is built around that exact problem. The platform opens pre-IPO crypto access to retail buyers starting at $10. This article looks at how it works and what the 2026 entry window actually looks like. What IPO Genie Actually Does IPO Genie uses an AI engine to identify pre-IPO companies before they list publicly. The output is called a Vault signal. Vault 1 identified Redwood AI Corp. before its February 6, 2026 listing. That timestamp is publicly verifiable. It is the only completed signal on record right now. The next AI signal campaign is held for the IPO Genie community to participate in the contest to win a $10,000 $IPO token prize. It has not been completed yet. They have revealed that it has 3 tickers. For more information visit the IPO Genie Vault, There is only one verified call. That does not make a track record. But it does make IPO Genie one of the few crypto presale projects in 2026 with a call logged before the listing

Bitcoin ATMs were crypto’s street-corner bank. Now regulators are shutting the door

Bitcoin ATMs were (and still are) the most tangible and literal implementation of crypto. They turned the process of buying and selling crypto from an abstract act done on a screen and moved it into the real world, enabling people to buy Bitcoin without verification, a bank account, or any real understanding of how custody works. Scan a QR code, insert a few bills, and all of the BTC you can afford lands in a crypto wallet in a few minutes. For a while, that physical aspect of buying a virtual currency with cash gave Bitcoin something exchanges couldnt: the feeling that it was part of everyday life. Bitcoin Depot, once North Americas largest Bitcoin ATM operator, filed for Chapter 11 in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas on May 18 and took its entire network of roughly 9,700 machines offline. Revenue had already fallen 49.2% year-over-year in Q1 2026, a drop of $80.7 million, while gross profit collapsed 85.5%, falling from $31.2 million to just $4.5 million. A $12.2 million profit from the prior-year period had swung to a $9.5 million net loss, a deterioration that CEO Alex Holmes attributed to a business model he described as “unsustainable.” The filing swept

XRP Beats Bitcoin and Ethereum in Another ETF Week

Following institutional participation seen over the past weeks, it appears that XRP has continued to attract fresh capital while Bitcoin and Ethereum bleed out. XRP becomes strongest performing crypto ETF Since April 30, XRP ETFs have continued to see steady influx of new capital every day of the week, except for just a few days when the funds saw neutral activity with neither withdrawal nor inflow. As such, XRP ETFs have not recorded any net outflow in nearly one month, signaling increased confidence in XRPs long-term outlook, especially among institutions. Bitcoin and Ethereum on the other hand are witnessing steady ETF withdrawals, as both cryptocurrencies have continued to record consecutive withdrawals each day of the week since May 15. Ethereums downtrend is more prolonged as its steady streak of ETF withdrawals began on May 11; the funds have not achieved any inflow since then. With XRP maintaining a long streak of positive inflows amid notable outflows from the two largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, XRP has proven itself as the strongest-performing crypto ETF in recent weeks.

The mandate covers secure custody of digital assets in the name of the State of Texas, liquidity services to facilitate purchases and sales, and a transition plan that would shift existing IBIT holdings into directly custodied Bitcoin within 60 days of contract execution. The RFP goes beyond basic safekeeping, requiring institutional-grade security controls, standard and custom reporting, and a dedicated public website showing how much Bitcoin and other qualifying cryptocurrencies the reserve holds and what they are worth.
