Tech　　Ang Binance.US Ngayon ay May Hindi Inaasahang Kakampi sa Labanan nito Laban sa SEC　　10 minuto ang nakalipas　　Balita ng Ethereum ng Bitcoin　　Binance.US has garnered support from a major crypto lobbyist group in warding off an ongoing lawsuit from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).　　In a new amicus brief, the US Chamber of Digital Commerce argued that the agencys claims against the exchange are misplaced, and that its actions are turning crypto businesses away from its borders.　　Regulasyon sa Pamamagitan ng Pagpapatupad　　In the Thursday filing, the lobbyists echoed previous criticisms from industry leaders that the SEC is creating a hostile environment for crypto businesses through “regulation by enforcement.”　　“The trillion-dollar blockchain economy—is conspicuously avoiding the United States, finding the regulatory environment too opaque and too hostile to conduct business here,” the advocacy group wrote.　　The SEC has already launched enforcement actions against dozens of major crypto firms which, as of this year, include industry giants like Kraken, Coinbase, and Binance.　　Numerous pro-crypto politicians and industry leaders alike have claimed that crypto would flee the U.S. if the agency continued down this path. Crypto lender Nexo, for example, closed down its Earn program in the U.S. earlier this year after paying a $45 million fine to

Sinabi ng US na ang mga crypto mixer ay nagbabanta sa pambansang seguridad sa gitna ng labanan sa Middle East

The U.S. Treasury Department is currently pushing for new rules that enhance monitoring and reporting capabilities on virtual currency mixers leveraged by illicit actors and terrorist groups.　　On Oct. 19, the Wall Street Journal reported that President Biden‘s administration is set to designate crypto mixers as a threat to national security. The move reportedly comes as the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) steps up vigilance against crypto terror financing citing geopolitical tension between Israel and Hamas.　　FinCEN published a Notice of Proposed Rule Making (NPRM) detailing its argument for this new legislation that would compel financial institutions to track, report on, and even block transactions linked with suspicious convertible virtual currency (CVC) mixers.　　CVC mixing offers a critical service that allows players in the ransomware ecosystem, rogue state actors, and other criminals to fund their unlawful activities and obfuscate the flow of ill-gotten gains. This is FinCENs first-ever use of the Section 311 authority to target a class of transactions of primary money laundering concern.　　Andrea Gacki, FinCEN Director　　The public has 90 days to submit written comments as feedback to the NPRM, which would act as an imposed sanction if approved. While FinCENs plan is clear, the proposed rule

The Norges Bank was a leader in terms of policy tightening, beginning back in September 2021. Economists at CIBC Capital Bank see rates peaking at the end of the year.　　One last hike for the Norges Bank？　　Having hiked rates on 13 occasions, the Norges Bank remains biased towards an additional 25 bps prior to year-end. Absent a material and unexpected retreat in the data, we would look for rates to reach a terminal at 4.50%, by year-end.　　The combination of additional tightening, energy price resilience, supporting an already exaggerated current account surplus, allied to ongoing labour market tightness points towards EUR/NOK trading well below July/August extremes into early 2024.
