$14.5 Billion Injection: Will U.S. Treasury Trigger 'Round 2' for Bitcoin and XRP?
The U.S. Treasury Department will enter the active phase of its government debt buyback program on Monday, Sept. 7, 2026. The weekly limit on operations will amount to $14.5 billion, while the maximum volume of Treasury sessions could reach $16.5 billion. The Treasury, led by Secretary Scott Bessent, is doubling its buyback limits for long-term securities maturing in 10 to 30 years — from $2 billion to $4 billion per session.
