Crossmint enables Visa card payments for AI agents and autonomous commerce

Crossmint, a stablecoin and wallet infrastructure provider, launched an API that enables AI agents to make payments using eligible Visa credit and debit cards, bringing physical card-based transactions to agent platforms. According to Tuesdays announcement, the service uses Visa Intelligent Commerce and Basis Theorys payment infrastructure to allow AI agents to make purchases without access to users card numbers while operating within predefined spending limits. Crossmint said the payment capability is available through its lobster.cash tool, which can be connected to platforms including Claude Code, OpenClaw, Hermes and Zo Computer. Developers can immediately integrate the payment system through the companys API and documentation. Crossmint co-founder Alfonso Gómez-Jordana told Cointelegraph the companys broader payments infrastructure supports both card and stablecoin transactions. Unlike some competing systems that rely on newly issued virtual cards, he said Crossmint tokenizes users existing Visa cards, allowing customers to retain card rewards while authorizing spending by AI agents. “Developers building payment capabilities into agents have had no standardized way to handle card credentials, so many have resorted to workarounds that expose raw card numbers directly to the agent environment,” Gómez-Jordana said. He said Crossmint is also working with Mastercard and American Express to expand support for agentic card payments beyond Visa. Racing to

Ethereum Price Prediction: How Low Can ETH Go If $2K Support Decisively Cracks?

Ethereum remains under pressure after failing to reclaim a major resistance cluster. The price is now hovering around a key long-term support zone. The broader structure suggests sellers still dominate the market, while weakening demand from US investors adds another layer of caution. Ethereum Price Analysis: The Daily Chart On the weekly timeframe, $ETH has extended its rejection from the major horizontal resistance region around $2.4K. This zone has repeatedly acted as a pivotal level throughout the current cycle and has once again capped upside momentum. The rejection has pushed the asset back toward the ascending trendline that has supported the market since the 2022 bear market bottom. $ETH is currently trading around $2K, just above the trendline and the $1.8K demand zone. This area represents the most important support cluster on the chart, as it combines a horizontal support area with the long-term rising trendline. As long as $ETH remains above this confluence, the long-term market structure will be intact. However, a decisive breakdown below the trendline and the $1.8K support region could trigger a catastrophic correction toward the next major support area near $1,500 and cause more panic, even among long-term investors. On the upside, the $2.4K zone remains the primary resistance. Reclaiming

Debate on CLARITY Act continues this week as US Senate returns

US Senate consideration of the Digital Asset Clarity (CLARITY) Act is likely resume as members reconvene this week after an extended Memorial Day holiday. Many US lawmakers and crypto industry leaders are pushing for consideration of the CLARITY Act, a crypto market structure bill introduced by Republicans and passed by the House of Representatives in July 2025. The bill, expected to give more authority to the federal commodities regulator over digital assets, passed two crucial committees before the one-week break. It has been debated in Congress amid pushback from industry and banking representatives over stablecoins, tokenized equities and other issues. “This will be actually the biggest financial regulatory bill that Congress has done in quite some time, certainly since Dodd-Frank,” Coinbase chief policy officer Faryar Shirzad said in a Monday Fox Business interview, referring to a 2010 law in response to the 2008 financial crisis. Source: Fox Business JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon said on Friday that the banking industry would not accept the CLARITY Act as written, arguing that the bill allows crypto companies to pay interest on user deposits and stablecoin balances. Bitcoin falls to 2-month low as divergence to equities deepens

Bitcoin fell to its lowest level in almost two months on Tuesday as cryptocurrencies continue to diverge from traditional equity markets. Bitcoin (BTC) fell to a low of $70,023 on Coinbase early on Tuesday, its lowest level since April 7, marking a daily decline of more than 4% and a weekly loss of 8%, according to TradingView. Bitcoin is down 44% from its October peak of $126,000. US stock markets such as the S&P 500 have meanwhile hit a record high of just over 7,600 points on Monday, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq peaked at over 27,000 points. Andri Fauzan Adziima, research lead at Bitrue Research Institute, told Cointelegraph that some analysts have noted that Bitcoin is the only major asset in contraction right now, and the divergence is notable. “It shows Bitcoin is trading more like a high-beta risk asset tied to macro sentiment rather than an independent hedge,” he added. “This gap highlights current weakness, but it also sets up potential for stronger relative performance once macro conditions improve. I view it as a temporary phase in the cycle, not a permanent shift.” Analytics platform Santiment said on Monday that “the gap between traditional equities and crypto has become increasingly difficult for traders to ignore.” “This

For Coinbase Stock, trading under this 20/50/200-day stack keeps the primary bias bearish until those levels are reclaimed. Momentum and Volatility Daily RSI(14) is 48.64, hovering just under the midline. Momentum is neutral to soft, not yet a trend reversal. Daily MACD remains below the signal with a negative histogram (line -2.71, signal -0.58, hist -2.13). Therefore, downside momentum still outweighs any nascent bounce. Bollinger Bands place the mid near $194.77with the lower band at $174.18. Because price is below the mid-band, overhead remains capped. Daily ATR(14) is 13.5, indicating enough volatility to widen both upside squeezes and downside air pockets. The daily pivot sits at $186.57with R1 at $194.29and S1 at $181.31. Closing above the pivot improves near-term footing; however, the $192–$195zone is the first real test. Binance adds US stock trading in push beyond crypto

Binance has launched US equities trading for eligible users and plans to add tokenized stocks as part of a broader push to expand beyond crypto. Users will be able to trade more than 7,000 stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) with zero commission, buy fractional shares from $5 and access select equities on a 24/5 basis, according to an announcement shared with Cointelegraph. The exchange said it is also planning to introduce tokenized stocks as part of its vision for a “multi-asset financial super app.” The move puts Binance more directly in competition with Coinbase and other platforms trying to bring stocks, ETFs, derivatives and tokenized assets into a single trading account. Coinbase rolled out commission-free US stock and ETF trading with 24/5 availability in December 2025. “Tokenization has the potential to reshape financial markets by giving users greater control, more flexibility, and ultimately more financial freedom,” said Binance co-CEO Richard Teng. “We see a significant opportunity to make financial assets more accessible, more useful, and more connected across traditional and digital markets.” The new offering, bStocks, is enabled through Binance‘s broker-dealer, Nest Trading Limited, based in Abu Dhabi’s International Financial Center (ADGM).
