Phemex Card Bridges the Last Mile Between Crypto and Everyday Spending

“Utility” has almost become a cliché in crypto, especially when it comes to payment cards. Phemex is one of the many exchanges launching a Mastercard, but its trying to address a real-world usage problem instead of just promising Cashback tiers and airport lounge perks like most products. With most prepaid crypto cards, you still need to move funds into a separate card balance before heading out. Having money on an exchange does not necessarily mean your card has enough to cover the bill. Phemex card removes that inconvenience. It draws directly from available USDT or USDC in your spot account, converting the amount needed when you pay. You still need enough stablecoins to cover the purchase, but you have one less balance to manage. For someone already keeping funds on Phemex exchange, that could make everyday spending easier. Whether it makes another card worth having takes a closer look at the costs. Our CEO @Federico0x sat down with @BeInCrypto to explain why we built Phemex Card for traders, not for perks. ???? Spend straight from your Spot account, no pre-loading ???? Unlimited cashback back to Spot ???? Everyday spending that feeds your trading liquidity — Phemex (@Phemex_official) September 29, 2026 One Less Balance to Manage Consider someone who has

Bond Bear Jim Bianco Turns Bullish as 5% Yields Hit Fair Value

Jim Bianco, president of Bianco Research and a bond bear for six years, has turned bullish on bonds. He says bond yields across five to 30-year maturities all sit at 5% or higher, a first in two decades. He is adding exposure while a bond selloff keeps the 10-year Treasury yield near two-decade highs. His case is that higher yields reflect normal rates, not a broken market. Sponsored Sponsored Why Did Bond Bear Jim Bianco Turn Bullish at 5%? Bianco told CNBCs Fast Money that a 5% nominal economy follows from inflation near 3% and real growth near 2%. Therefore, 5% Treasury yields sit in line with the economys pace, which he calls fair value from five years out. Bianco says the 2010 to 2020 stretch of negative rates and money printing still shapes how investors read todays yields. “The answer might be theres nothing wrong with the bond market.” Sponsored Sponsored Jim Bianco, president of Bianco Research, speaking to CNBC Bianco also told Bloomberg the selloff may have further to run, so he is adding bond exposure gradually. What Could Still Break the Bond Bull Case? Bianco sees borrowing by hyperscalers, the largest cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) spenders, as manageable. Corporate debt has shrunk relative to gross domestic product (GDP) over 10

Jim Cramer Says Goldman's SpaceX Price Target Hike Proves It Wasn't Guesswork

Jim Cramer says Goldman Sachs $10 SpaceX price target hike to $230 shows its earlier $220 was not guesswork. The CNBC Mad Money host sees analysts moving ahead of the stock instead of chasing it. Goldman, a lead underwriter on SpaceXs June initial public offering (IPO), opened coverage at $205 in July under analyst Eric Sheridan. The $230 target is its second raise since. Sponsored Sponsored Why does Jim Cramer see the SpaceX price target raise as proof? Cramer said the $220 target looked hard to defend when SpaceX shares sat near $120. Since then, SpaceX has climbed, closing at $171.92 on October 6, according to Google Finance. The latest raise changed his view. “Maybe there really is some rigor to the analysis.” Jim Cramer, host of Mad Money on CNBC He says analysts covering speculative stocks rarely lift targets until buyers have already pushed shares past the old one. Sponsored Sponsored Goldman‘s note cites higher expected AI capacity, revenue and margins. Cramer links that to demand for SpaceX’s rented AI computing, which he says explains its $40 billion chip plan. Still, Cramer adds that SpaceX‘s story could play out faster than Tesla’s, though it does not suit his Charitable Trust. Does the rest of Wall Street read the numbers the same way? On August

AI Could Damage Crypto in 2 Years, Warns Ethereum's Vitalik Buterin

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin warned that AI-driven mathematical breakthroughs could weaken lattice-based cryptography within two years. They could also break the Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA) behind Bitcoin and ETH wallets sooner than expected. Buterin did not urge panic, however, and said nobody should rush to move funds today. He was replying to Ethereum researcher Justin Drake, who wants the industry to plan for a “bunker mode.” Sponsored Sponsored Why Are Lattices Suddenly in Doubt? Buterin said most people have assumed elliptic curves are vulnerable while hashes and lattices stay safe. He now questions the lattice half of that view. I dont recommend anyone scramble to move their funds to new wallets today. But we should take the risks to cryptography from AI-accelerated math seriously, and minimize our exposure to not just quantum-vulnerable cryptography, but also potentially AI-vulnerable cryptography.… — vitalik.eth (@VitalikButerin) October 7, 2026 Lattice math supports the Module-Lattice-Based Digital Signature Algorithm (ML-DSA), a signature standard built to resist quantum computers. It also powers Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE), which computes on encrypted data. Buterin pointed to factoring, where the number field sieve shortcut forced encryption keys to grow over decades. If AI delivers 50 years of math in two years, he argued, lattices could face a similar

Will Trump Accounts Trigger a 10-Year US Stock Supercycle?

The White House announced today that Trump Accounts enrollment has hit 70 million users. That means essentially every eligible American child under 18 with a Social Security number now has a Trump Account under their name. In simple terms, 70 million children now have a $1,000 starting deposit under their names, which will be invested in the US stock markets until they become adults. How could this potentially impact the US economy and the US market over the next decade? THE FUTURE IS FUNDED. ???????? Trump Accounts are giving Americas next generation a real stake in the American dream, & auto enrollment makes it happen. 70M accounts. $4.5B+ already deposited since July 4th. Think of it as a retirement or investment account that starts when they are young and invests money in the US stock market. There are actually two separate elements: getting an account, and getting $1,000 from the government. XRP Whale Transfers off Binance Reach Highest Level in 7 Months

XRP whale withdrawals from Binance have surged to a seven-month high, a new analysis shows, raising questions about available trading supply. Persistent transfers away from the platform could reduce tokens readily available for sale, depending on their destinations. Key TakeawaysThe 30-day Binance whale outflow total reached approximately 1.38 billion XRP.Sustained transfers off Binance could reduce available trading supply.Large withdrawals alone do not establish long-term accumulation. XRP Whales Move 1.38 Billion Coins Off Binance Large XRP withdrawals from crypto exchange Binance reached their highest 30-day total in seven months, according to an analysis published by Cryptoquant on Oct. 7. Cryptoquant contributor Arab Chain tracked XRP whale outflows from Binance using data from the crypto analytics platform. Whales are large holders capable of moving substantial volumes. The rebound follows an earlier period of declining activity, with XRP trading near $1.50 in the analysis. The analyst stated: “If this trend persists, it could indicate a growing preference among major investors to hold their assets off-exchange rather than keeping them readily available for sale.” “If this trend persists, it could indicate a growing preference among major investors to hold their assets off-exchange rather than keeping them readily available for sale.” The distinction between exchange outflows and net flows determines what the

XT Exchange at Eight: Building Before You Need It

At XT Exchanges eighth-anniversary X Space, COO Arman Achmed reflected on how the standard for a crypto exchange has changed, and why the work done during periods of stability determines how confidently a platform can move into what comes next. A crypto exchange is often judged most closely when markets become difficult. Systems are expected to keep working, teams have to make decisions quickly, and users want clear information about what is happening. For Arman Achmed, COO of XT Exchange, the more important work begins much earlier. Sponsored Sponsored “You can‘t control the market, but you can build an organization that’s ready for it,” he said during XT Exchanges eighth-anniversary X Space. Eight years of operating in crypto have changed what that readiness means. Earlier in the industrys development, access to assets, liquidity and reliable execution could do much of the work of distinguishing one exchange from another. Those things still matter, but users increasingly treat them as a starting point rather than the full standard. Today, an exchange is also judged by how reliably it operates as activity rises, how responsibly it handles assets, how clearly it communicates and whether the account remains useful as users needs expand beyond a single trade. XTs own development reflects that

House Finance panel chair says regulator actions on crypto ‘fall short’ of CLARITY bill

Representative French Hill, who chairs the House Financial Services Committee, said that though US financial regulators were moving forward with addressing digital assets, their actions lacked the long-term stability of legislation from Congress. In a Wednesday Fox Business interview, the Arkansas lawmaker said the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) had taken steps to address crypto regulations after the US Senate failed to pass the Digital Asset Market Clarity (CLARITY) Act last month. Both financial agencies have proposed rulemaking to handle different aspects of overseeing and enforcing crypto regulations, but Hill said their response following the failed CLARITY vote “[fell] short” of legislative solutions. “I still have hope [...] that we can get [CLARITY] passed in the lame duck session of Congress,” said Hill. “We need that permanent law change to make sure America is number one in digital assets and blockchain technology.” The Arkansas lawmakers comments came after the heads of the SEC and CFTC — Paul Atkins and Michael Selig, respectively — announced plans to move forward with crypto regulation at the direction of US President Donald Trump. Justin Drake urges crypto ‘bunker mode,’ as AI could break wallet security within months

Ethereum researcher Justin Drake has urged the industry to prepare for “bunker mode,” recommending users gradually move assets to fresh addresses amid concerns that advances in artificial intelligence could undermine the cryptography used in todays blockchains. In an X post on Wednesday, Drake said recent advances in AI, particularly OpenAIs recent release of mathematical breakthroughs, suggest AI could eventually make it possible to break the elliptic curve digital signature algorithm (ECDSA) used to secure cryptocurrency wallets. “It is now reasonable to brace for the possibility that ECDSA breaks before qday, in the worst case in months not years,” said Drake. The warning raises the prospect that AI could enable attackers to recover private keys from exposed public keys sooner than anticipated, before sufficiently powerful quantum computers become available. Mathematical superintelligence “Recent days have been humbling for human mathematical intuition. Long-held, unquestioned hypotheses have fallen,” said Drake. On Tuesday, OpenAI released hundreds of new mathematical findings across a variety of topics such as algebra, theoretical computer science and mathematical logic. Last month the company said it used a team of 10,000 autonomous AI agents working in parallel to solve the Navier-Stokes equation, one of the most famous and difficult unsolved problems in mathematics and physics, in just 88
