Ethereum Only 55% Complete: What Upgrades Are Next After the Merge

EthereumEthereum Only 55% Complete: What Upgrades Are Next After the Merge09 26 2022Balita ng Ethereum ng Bitcoin　　Ethereum successfully ‘Merged’ on Sept.15, but more upgrades are coming to the network: the Surge, the Mabingit, the Purge, and a Splurge. As a whole, the upgrades will each add a new layer of scalability and katiwasayan sa Ethereum patunay-ng-taya (POS).　　It is an interesting evolution towards Ethereum‘s long-term goal of becoming the “world’s computer.”　　Habang the Merge transitioned the blockchain to the eco-friendly PoS consensus mechanism, Ethereums transformation is only 55% done, according to co-founder Vitalik Buterin.　　Four more upgrades of curious names are on the way, he Sinabi a recent crypto conference in France. Buterin revealed that the planed “deep changes” are meant to improve Ethereums competitiveness by making it a more powerful and robust network.　　When all the five phases of upgrades are complete, Ethereum will be able to process 100,000 transactions per second, said Buterin. Currently, the blockchain processes between 15 to 20 transactions per second, something that has resulted in network congestion and higher fees.　　Source: Miles DeutscherShanghai update　　Dahil sa ang Pagsamahin, however, the price of ethereum (ETH), the eponymous token used for transactions on the network, has tanked by 35%. Mining GPU Prices in China Plummets Post ETH Merge

EthereumAng Pagmimina ng Mga Presyo ng GPU sa China ay Bumaba Pagkatapos ng ETH Merge09 26 2022Balita ng Ethereum ng Bitcoin　　Altcoin News　　Prices for Nvidia GeForce GPUs have dropped dramatically.　　GPUs price plummeted from 8,000 yuan to 5,000 yuan.　　Graphics processing units (GPUs), often used for mining cryptocurrencies like Ether (ETH), have seen price drops in China. This is because of the Ethereum networks transition to a proof-of-stake (PoS) consensus method, attracting institutional investors.　　According to a revelation in the South China Morning Post, prices for Nvidia GeForce GPUs have dropped dramatically after the historic Ethereum Merge on September 15. Chinese businessman Peng used the RTX 3080 as an example, noting that the GPUs price plummeted from $1118 (or 8,000 yuan) to 5,000 yuan in only three months.　　Post-Merge Effects　　Peng claims that at the height of Bitcoin (BTC) mining in China, mining businesses went on buying binges of graphics processing units (GPUs). But the merchant lamented that there was a complete lack of interest in modern PCs and GPUs at the time.　　Similarly, another merchant named Liu noted that low-end RTX 3080 cards from manufacturers like MSI had reduced in price by roughly 2,000 yuan in the last two months. Liu speculates that the excitement around

The Transition Of Ethereum Is Continuously Hitting GPU Platforms

EthereumAng Transition Ng Ethereum ay Tuloy-tuloy na Tumatama sa Mga Platform ng GPU 09 / 26 / 2022Balita ng Ethereum ng Bitcoin　　Graphics processing units (GPUs) are facing a huge number of losses due to the new launch of the Ethereum merge. The idea of Ethereums transition from Proof-of-Work (PoW) to Proof-of-Stake (PoS) has become a misery for the ETH miners. Maybe the transition helped with less consumption of electricity, but GPUs are showing a decline in their growth rate.　　GPUs are the processing units that are utilized in gaming technology and the mining of digital currency. Before the merge, GPUs were at a success rate that benefited a lot of ETH miners. The graphics cards were in huge demand by the miners. Like Nvidias GeForce RTX3080, RTX 30380 Ti, and RTX 3090 which had a high growth rate in Shanghai before the merge.　　The unique features of GPUs make the graphics cards more suitable for hashing, which is basically used for mining in the Proof-of-Work (PoW) blockchain technology. After the merge, the transition needed a lower number of miners, and the low utilization of computers affected a lot of miners who are involved in GPUs.　　According to the reports, Chinese distributors have seen

Ethereum Merge impacted this sector the most in China

EthereumAng Ethereum Merge ay higit na nakaapekto sa sektor na ito sa China09 / 26 / 2022Balita ng Ethereum ng Bitcoin　　Since graphics cards can no longer be used to mine a cryptocurrency, Ethereums long-awaited switch to proof-of-stake has had an even greater impact on the industry.　　Following the Ethereum Merge earlier this month, prices for graphics processing units (GPUs) have dropped to their “lowest level ever” in China.　　According to the SCMP, vendors of graphics cards in China have reported plunging prices for mid and high-end units over the previous two months.　　The demand for Nvidias flagship GeForce RTX 3080 and 3090 models caused recommended retail prices to triple once ETH could be mined and the bull market was in full swing.　　But retailers in Shanghais electronics retail market claim that during the previous three months, both demand and prices have fallen by roughly 40%.　　Why are the prices getting high？　　The cost of graphics cards, which are normally used for video games, tends to rise along with the price of cryptocurrencies because of the unique properties of GPUs that make them well-suited for hashing, and the complex computations employed for mining on proof-of-work blockchains.　　There are several independent producers of graphics cards for the market, such

Charles Hoskinson And Ethereum Dev Get Into A War Of Words

Ethereum Merge is a flawed PoS implementation – Hoskinson　　Presyo ng ETH sa oras ng pagsulat – $1,315.85　　Custodial staking would create issues for the network – Experts　　Cardano founder and Ethereum co-founder Charles Hoskinson disagreed with Ethereum developers regarding the Ethereum Merges implementation of the proof-of-stake (PoS) consensus.　　Web3 investor Evan Van Ness said on Sunday that the Ethereum Merge could have been shipped earlier, which caused controversy. Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin concurred with Van Ness and stated that a chain-based PoS consensus similar to NXT should have been implemented.　　Ethereum developers should have implemented the Snow White protocol　　The Snow White protocol, which Hoskinson has advocated for years, is one of the first protocols to provide end-to-end, formal proofs of security for a PoS system. Hoskinson joined the conversation and claimed that Ethereum developers should have implemented it to ensure a faster migration to PoS.　　The Cardano founder and Van Ness, along with other Ethereum developers, got into a heated argument after Hoskinsons response opened a can of worms. Hoskinson claimed that his ideas regarding the technical upgrades to the Ethereum network from 2014 still hold up better than what the Ethereum network has upgraded to since the Merge.　　Hoskinson was quickly reminded by Van Ness
