Blockchain, originally conceived as the underlying technology behind cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, has now emerged as a transformative force in various sectors. The sports world has faced issues such as transfer complications, contract conflicts, and low fan involvement; blockchain technology has helped resolve them. Blockchain technology, an innovation that has gained significant traction in recent years, has its roots deeply embedded in the realm of digital currencies. The genesis of blockchain can be traced back to the groundbreaking whitepaper published in 2008 by the pseudonymous figure, Satoshi Nakamoto. This whitepaper introduced Bitcoin, the first cryptocurrency powered by blockchain technology. At its core, blockchain is a distributed ledger system that operates on a network of computers, known as nodes, connected through a peer-to-peer network. This decentralized structure eliminates the need for intermediaries and central authorities, making transactions more efficient, secure, and transparent. The underlying concept revolves around the creation of blocks, each containing a set of verified and time-stamped transactions, which are then added to a chain

Visa taps Ethereums Goerli testnet to experiment with account abstraction

Ethereum Visa taps Ethereums Goerli testnet to experiment with account abstraction 11 segundo ang nakalipas Balita ng Ethereum ng Bitcoin Global payments giant Visa delved further into the world of Ethereum, this time experimenting on the blockchains Goerli testnet with smart contracts aimed at transaction-free payments with the help of account abstraction. Visa deployed two sets of “Paymaster” smart contracts to leverage account abstraction, which expands the capabilities of such contracts to user accounts and allows wallets to autonomously perform complex tasks and manage transaction costs on behalf of other accounts. The company detailed their testing in a report. The primary objective of these contracts is to simplify user interaction with the Ethereum network by eliminating the need for end-users to hold ether (ETH), the native cryptocurrency of Ethereum, for transaction or “gas” fees or letting users pay with any token. According to Visas report, this methodology provides a more flexible alternative to the standard fee structure on the Ethereum mainnet. The move by Visa is the latest in a relationship with Ethereum that dates back to at least 2021 when it announced it was settling payments in the USDC stablecoin on the blockchain. In doing so, it became the first major payments network to use the

Grayscale Decided to Drop Ethereum ETF Plans: Heres Why

Ethereum Grayscale Decided to Drop Ethereum ETF Plans: Heres Why 2 minuto ang nakalipas Balita ng Ethereum ng Bitcoin Arman Shirinyan Two digital asset giants are dropping their fundamental plans as no regulatory clarity provided since 2021 Surprisingly, two leading asset managers, Grayscale Investments and Bitwise, have seemingly backpedaled on their plans to launch Ether-futures Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), Bloomberg reports. Grayscale has expunged the mention of the Ethereum Futures ETF from its filing, retaining only two separate funds, while Bitwise has formally withdrawn its application for its Ethereum Strategy fund, according to documents submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. These unexpected alterations were first reported by Blockworks. As of now, Grayscale, Bitwise and the SEC have remained tight-lipped about these changes. These developments could be attributed to a combination of factors. First and foremost, the overarching regulatory environment could have played a crucial role. The SEC has repeatedly denied approvals for Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs from various financial institutions, raising the regulatory bar for such products. Despite the potential of these ETFs to catapult these asset management giants back to market prominence, the risk associated with regulatory uncertainties may have been a deterrent effect. Grayscale and Bitwise might have decided to sidestep potential regulatory hurdles by

Taproot Assets Upgrade to Alleviate Bitcoin Congestion Revealed

Bitcoin Lightning Network (LN) developer Lightning Labs has announced Taproot Assets v0.2. The upgrade provides a more efficient method of minting assets on the blockchain following the BRC-20 network mayhem last week. On May 17, Lightning Labs announced the latest release of the Taproot Assets Protocol, formerly known as Taro. Taproot Assets v0.2 “provides the core set of features for developers looking to issue, send, receive, and discover assets on the Bitcoin blockchain,” it stated. Furthermore, the protocol was designed to operate maximally off-chain. This was specifically implemented to avoid the blockchain congestion that occurred last week. Taproot Assets to Solve Scaling Problems The developers acknowledged that in its current form, the BTC network is not scalable: “While the excitement around building on Bitcoin is encouraging, the fee markets response has indicated that these protocols are not designed for scale.” The latest release enables the minting or moving of an unbounded number of assets in a single on-chain transaction. Users will also soon be able to integrate their assets into the Lightning Network for faster and cheaper transactions. The upgrade leverages existing network effects and negates the need to “bootstrap a new ecosystem from scratch,” it noted. The announcement concluded that as adoption grows, it should alleviate the blockchain

In mid-February, Kraken Crypto Exchange “immediately” terminated its crypto staking service platform for US customers and paid $30 million fees to SEC, to which they offered unregistered securities. In mid-April, the SEC charged crypto asset trading platform Bittrex, Inc. and co-founder and former CEO William Shihara for running an unregistered national stock exchange, brokerage, and clearing agency. The SEC also charged Bittrex, Inc.‘s foreign arm, Bittrex Global GmbH, for failing to register as a national stock exchange in connection with operating a single common order book alongside Bittrex. On May 8, the exchange declared bankruptcy following the SEC’s allegation. Coinbase (COIN) will soon be the target of enforcement action from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), which may reflect the regulator‘s activities against cryptocurrency exchanges. Bittrex and Kraken are electronic competitors, according to Berenberg’s research study from Monday. Berenberg estimates that at least 37% of Coinbases $736 million in first-quarter net revenue came from transaction fees and spreads posted by
