What is OSL?
OSL is a regulated global platform that provides stablecoin trading, payment, and digital asset infrastructure, focusing on security, compliance, and institutional grade.
Platform Features
The platform holds licenses in multiple countries, provides an integrated digital financial infrastructure, focusing on a seamless fiat-crypto experience and high-performance trading for advanced users, equipped with the OSL exchange App, emphasizing "simple and trustworthy crypto finance".
At the start of the week, spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs were conditionally approved in Hong Kong. Alongside this news, digital assets platform OSL announced it will be a “sub-custodian partner” for both the China Asset Management, also known as ChinaAMC (HK), and Harvest Global Investment ETFs. Looking forward, OSLs CEO believes that these ETFs could lead to a wave of “more progressive” regulation in China and potentially cause a ripple effect across the region. “[It] is likely to set a precedent for other financial markets in Asia,” Patrick Pan, Chairman of the Board and CEO of OSL, told Decrypt. “For China, this development in Hong Kong solidifies Hong Kongs place as a unique financial center for innovations and may influence future regulatory considerations and market openness towards crypto, potentially leading to more progressive policies aligned with global standards.” China has a long and rocky history with cryptocurrencies—effectively banning crypto multiple times. “Presently, there are rigorous regulatory controls over cryptocurrency transactions, expressly prohibiting the operation of cryptocurrency exchanges within its territory,” Thomas Zhu, the ChinaAMC (HK) head of digital assets and head of family office business, told Decrypt. OSL, a Hong Kong-licensed digital asset platform, has successfully executed the first transaction of a tokenized warrant issued by UBS in Hong Kong. This event marks a milestone in integrating traditional finance and blockchain technology. The transaction was carried out on the Ethereum blockchain. “This initiative serves as a powerful demonstration of a real-world use case of blockchain technologies. Together with UBS, we hope to leverage blockchain to open another new chapter in digital financial product issuance and distribution in Asia, showcasing the transformative potential of this technology,” said Patrick Pan, chief executive of OSL Group. The investment-grade tokenized warrant represents a new frontier for financial instruments, combining the regulatory compliance and security of traditional banking with the efficiency and transparency of blockchain. The successful transaction by OSL and UBS is an indication of the evolving landscape of financial services, where digital assets are becoming increasingly mainstream. Hong Kong opened crypto assets to the general public last summer by introducing a new licensing regime that permits authorized service providers to offer crypto trading services to retail investors. But so far, Hong Kong has only approved the license to two exchanges, OSL and HashKey.

British banking giant Standard Chartered is leaping into the crypto industry. The banks innovation and ventures unit, SC Ventures, is collaborating with an Asian partner to launch a digital asset brokerage and exchange platform for institutional and corporate clients in the UK and Europe. It will initially target the European market, connecting institutional traders to counterparties in order to deliver deep pools of liquidity in Bitcoin, Ethereum and other digital assets. According to the announcement, Standard Chartered is partnering with the leading public fintech and digital asset company in Asia, BC Technology, which operates the Hong Kong-licensed cryptocurrency exchange OSL. The banks expansion into crypto trading marks another leap forward for the industry. Headquartered in the UK, Standard Chartered PLC ranks 43rd among banks around the world and currently manages just over $720 billion. Head of SC Ventures Alex Manson wants to ensure that the company is prepared to ride the crypto wave as adoption from institutional investors continues to see an uptick. “We have a strong conviction that digital assets are here to stay and will be adopted by the institutional market as a highly relevant asset class. We are constructing the building blocks for a safe and reliable investment infrastructure: on the back
