Reason for this visit

With the gradual depreciation of the Indonesian rupiah (IDR), the legal currency of Indonesia, more and more Indonesians prefer to hold cryptocurrencies. It is reported that one out of every nine (nearly 30 million) people in Indonesia hold cryptocurrencies, which will be a big cake for global cryptocurrency exchanges to compete for. In order to help investors understand the country's exchanges more comprehensively, the survey team is going to Indonesia for site visits.

On-site visit

In this period, the survey team went to the capital of Estonia, Tallinn, to explore the cryptocurrency exchange Emirex. The survey address is Harju maakond, Tallinn, Lasnamäe linnaosa, Peterburi tee 47.

The survey personnel came to the destination of the survey based on the above address, which is located on Peterburi tee Street in Tallinn, Estonia. It is a two-story low-rise building, outside which the logo of the cryptocurrency exchange Emirex was not seen.

The investigators came to the front of the building and still couldn’t find the logo of Emirex on the glass door or the surrounding walls. Besides, the building did not have a lobby or any security personnel.

The investigators entered the building and searched everywhere. Except for a taxi company and its piles of debris, no offices of other companies were seen. The survey personnel assumed that the cryptocurrency exchange Emirex did not operate here. This building is similar to a warehouse rather than an office, and it uses the same address as the exchange Kickex.

Conclusion

The investigators went to Tallinn, Estonia to visit the cryptocurrency exchange Emirex as planned. They did not find the exchange’s office on its publicly displayed address. Therefore, the cryptocurrency exchange Emirex might not have a real business venue, or might simply register the company at this address. Investors are advised to choose this exchange carefully.
